How Jake’s Law Will Help Arizona Kids Struggling With Mental Health

On Wednesday, The Show covered the broader implications of a bill Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed to improve access to mental health care

Jake’s Law is named for Jake Machovsky, an Arizona teen who took his own life in 2016 after struggling with his own mental health. The law is intended to help students like him, in addition to providing the general public with improved care.

Caitlin Gizler, director of Integrated School Based Services at Valle del Sol, joined The Show to talk about how exactly Jake’s Law will help kids and teens.
