Where Baseball Players Live During Spring Training In Arizona

Spring training began in February. And with the exhibition rosters filled with twice as many players than will ultimately make it to the regular season, there are a lot of people who are looking for places to stay.

The Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers announced they’ll be building compounds that will keep their players close to the training facility and around teammates on a regular basis.

But players with other organizations are typically staying in hotels or apartments or, in the case of established major leaguers, in nicer homes that they rent or own.

To learn more about how and where players reside during the six weeks or so of spring training, The Show talked with Matt Antonelli of Antonelli Baseball. He played for the San Diego Padres and was a first-round draft pick.
