In 1963, then-Interior Secretary Stewart Udall, who also served Arizona in Congress, wrote the book "The Quiet Crisis."

Stewart Udall’s son, Tom, is currently a U.S. senator from New Mexico.

As part of marking his father’s 100th birthday this year, Sen. Udall is pushing for Congress to undertake a new agenda that focuses on protecting and preserving the environment.
