Great Wolf Lodge Temporarily Closes Arizona Resort Over Coronavirus Concerns

Less than six months after it opened, Arizona’s first indoor water park resort is temporarily closing.

Starting Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m., the Great Wolf Lodge will close. It's part of the Salt River-Pima Maricopa Indian Community’s Talking Stick Entertainment District.

The company saysit has received no reported positive cases from guests or employees but they believe it’s in the best interest to close all resorts through April 1. Reservations will automatically be cancelled with full refunds.

“We will continue to stay connected with federal and state health officials to monitor the ongoing situation and provide our guests with additional updates as warranted,"  Great Wolf said on its website.

After the resorts reopen, Great Lodge says it will  follow official health department recommendations and increased sanitation measures including more frequent cleansing of public and employee areas with hospital-grade disinfectant solutions and more hand sanitation areas throughout the resorts.
