Some of Arizona’s largest cities are taking additional steps to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
That includes the closure of many public places.
Based on new recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, all Phoenix libraries and indoor rec centers will be closed beginning Monday.

Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego made the announcement via Twitteron Sunday. All city of Tempe facilities will also be closed until March 27.
That includes historic properties, senior centers and arts centers as well. Other cities such as Peoria and Gilbertare keeping their centers open,but have canceled many large events and programs.
