How Are Older Adults Coping With Isolation?

Over and over as we cover the coronavirus outbreak, we hear that the elderly and those with compromised immune systems are the most at risk. As a result, many older people in our community are staying away from crowds, largely in their homes.

And other places where seniors might find community aren’t open. Senior centers are closed and most churches, synagogues and mosques are  shutting down services.

But for a lot of older adults, isolation was a concern long before the spread of COVID-19. So how are they coping now?

For more on that, The Show got a hold of Mary Lynn Kasunic with the Area Agency on Aging.
