Arizona has received thousands of pieces of medical equipment from the Federal Strategic Stockpile.
Gov. Doug Ducey, speaking from a warehouse that received more than 60,000 N-95 masks and more than 244,000 surgical masks, says this is just a start.
“These materials just arrived here this weekend, they’re going to be distributed out to all 15 counties on Monday," he said in a video posted to social media.
In addition to the masks, Arizona received large shipments of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers.
“26,000 face shields, 22,000 surgical gowns, and 90,000 sets of gloves," Ducey said.
Each of these pieces of equipment are required to prevent healthcare workers from contracting the coronavirus and spreading it to other patients.
