Banner Health Offers Drive-Through Coronavirus Tests In Phoenix, Tucson

Banner Health now offers drive-through coronavirus testing at three locations in Phoenix and one in Tucson, with more to come.

There is still no approved treatment for COVID-19, and testing supplies remain limited, so officials still advise people who are not severely ill or at high risk to stay home and self-isolate.

Those who meet the testing  criteria set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and agree to self-isolate until they receive their results, can obtain a clinical evaluation by calling 1-844-549-1851. The line is staffed 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday.

Patients who meet the requirements will receive an appointment, during which they will remain their vehicle, fill out paperwork and receive a nose-swab.

The nose-swab sample will then go to Sonora Quest Laboratories for processing, which Banner expects to take 3-5 days.

Sonora Quest performs only those COVID-19 tests ordered and collected by a physician or other authorized health care provider.
