Monday was tense on the U.S. Senate floor in Washington, D.C., after lawmakers failed to advance a new coronavirus response bill on Sunday and again on Monday.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blamed Democrats for the delay after they largely stuck together in an attempt to force additional changes to the bill.

But now, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says he’s “very, very close” to a deal with the White House.

Sen. Martha McSally talked about where things stand in D.C. on The Show.
