Lawmakers are moving forward with an emergency relief bill that could, in part, help save small local businesses from devastation in the wake of the coronavirus.

The bill includes a nearly $350 billion loan program to cover various monthly expenses, like payroll, and retroactive assistance for people who have already lost their jobs.

But is it enough — now and for when this crisis has passed?

Charleen Badman is the James Beard award-winning chef and owner of FnB in Scottsdale, and she’s been calling on local restaurateurs like her to show Congress just how much relief they really need.

The Show caught up with her this week, and started by talking about how difficult it’s been for her this week as she and her business partner, Pavle Milic, chose to shut down.
