To comply with CDC social distancing guidelines, the Arizona Department of Revenue is restricting its customer service lobbies in Phoenix, Mesa, and Tucson.

Taxpayers with questions or concerns about their state income tax returns and needing in-person assistance will need to make an appointment, says department spokesperson Ed Greenberg. But most things can be done online.

"The important thing that we’re trying to stress, is that while we’re still going to have some service at our lobbies, we’ll have a suite of resources available to our taxpayers either through our website, or over the phone, or through an e-mail system that we have in place," Greenberg said. "Tax season is currently taking place, and we have taxpayers with a lot of questions, and they may need some guidance. So we want to ensure that we're still providing the same services that we can."

Taxpayers can call 602-716-ADOR (2367) or e-mail [email protected].
