Arizona Constables Working With Changes To Eviction Policies During Pandemic

The beginning of the month means rent is due. But what if you lost your income due to the coronavirus and can’t pay? That’s a scenario many people face. One hundred and fifty thousand Arizonans have filed for unemployment in just the last two weeks. 

Gov. Ducey signed an executive order delaying evictions for people if they can prove their income loss is directly related to the coronavirus. But that doesn’t mean all evictions have stopped.

To talk about what’s going on is Mike Branham, chief constable for Maricopa County. One of the duties of constables is serving eviction notices.
