As more Arizonans stay home to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, demand for gas also continues to drop.
The average price per gallon in the state has dropped 11 cents since last week. It now sits at $2.42.
"The national average is sitting at about $1.97 for a gallon of gasoline," said Aldo Vasquez of AAA Arizona. "So the national average dropped below $2 for the first time in four years, and it won’t stop there as demand for gasoline diminishes and Americans stay home."
Right now, Yavapai County has the most expensive gas in Arizona, and Pima County has the cheapest gallon of gas at $2.14.
