Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, Arizona’s Medicaid program known as AHCCCS, reports hospitals statewide will receive $50 million in accelerated hospital payments and advances.
In a news release, AHCCCS officials say payments will help hospitals in operating trauma facilities and support rural acute care hospitals.
Some payments could happen this month, with more money distributed in June — more than two months ahead of schedule.
