As of yesterday morning, the Arizona Department of Health Services reported 3,539 cases of COVID-19 in our state and 115 deaths.
And, the situation on the Navajo Nation is becoming increasingly severe. 698 residents there have tested positive for COVID-19 as of Saturday and there have been 24 confirmed deaths.
The Nation’s 57-hour weekend curfew expired this morning. It was an effort to flatten the curve through social distancing that threatened thousand-dollar fines and 30-day jail sentences for violators.
