Arizona nonprofits are struggling with lost revenue during this pandemic — the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits reported the financial impact at around $36 million. On April 7, however, these groups were able to bring in some money.
The annual Arizona Gives Day raised more than $5 million for the nearly 1,000 nonprofits that took part — that’s an increase of more than $1.5 million from last year’s total.
The Show spoke to Jennifer Purcell, the vice president of community engagement with the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits, about her reaction to the amount raised.
