The United States hasn’t utilized a military draft since the Vietnam era — nearly half a century ago. However, the issue recently resurfaced when the National Commission on Military, National and Public Service recommended to Congress that every American between the ages of 18 and 25 — including women — would have to register in case a draft were to occur.
The Show spoke with former U.S. Rep. Joe Heck (R-Nev.), who chairs the commission, to learn more about the recommendation.
