State Of Arizona Library To Receive $650,000 From Coronavirus Relief Act

The Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records will be given more than half a million dollars from the federal coronavirus relief act.

The division was granted $650,000 to expand access to digital networks and provide technical support to citizens.

The State Library will also be analyzing unemployment statistics and broadband availability to help streamline the state’s efforts and inform their decisions. The library is also compiling  a list of libraries that have internet access after business hours.

State librarian Holly Henley said "the State Library also looks forward to being able to provide additional support for digital inclusion services that are especially beneficial in small and rural libraries."

More updates will come as the plans are finalized.
