Gov. Doug Ducey may have extended his stay-at-home order through mid-May, but he is also taking steps to reopen certain businesses.
Some retailers can operate under new norms starting on Monday, when they're allowed to reopen for deliveries, window service, drive-through service or curbside delivery.
But that comes with a caveat.
They still have to follow physical distancing measures and strict sanitation policies.
On May 8, businesses will have more leeway to let customers in their stores, as long as they do so while following federal and state social distancing guidelines.
Ducey’s new order isn’t for everyone. It doesn’t extend to bars, salons or gyms.
The governor warned the order is enforceable by law, with violations costing business owners a $2,500 fine.
