The American Hotel and Lodging Association released new health guidelines for hotels as they look to start welcoming back guests during the pandemic.
They include personal protective equipment for hotel employees, enhanced sanitizing of public spaces and elevators, having housekeeping not enter a guest’s room unless they’re specifically requested and physical distancing at pools and other public areas.
This comes as hotels across Arizona report significant drops in occupancy over the past several weeks.
To talk about the new guidelines and what they might mean for Arizona’s hotel industry, The Show spoke with Kim Sabow, president and CEO of the Arizona Lodging and Tourism Association.
