Arizona restaurants can reopen for dine-in services starting May 11.
Eddie Hantaf is one of the small restaurant owners who is about to reopen in light of the governor’s order.
Hantaf has owned Hummus Express since 2012. The small, Mediterranean café in Tempe seats about 20 diners and has been relying entirely on takeout business since the pandemic hit, which has had a devastating effect on business.
Though Hantaf has managed to hang on without the help of federal stimulus dollars, he said it hasn’t been easy.
The Show spoke with him to hear how the reopening will affect his livelihood.
