Culdesac Tempe Claims To Be First 'Post-Car' Real Estate Development

Culdesac Tempe, a $140 million development project to be built on 16 acres on Apache Boulevard just west of the Loop 101, says it has filled its wait list for the first phase of development.

The project will have homes, retail and community spaces, among other things. But it will not have any residential parking. Culdesac calls itself the world’s first post-car real estate developer.

Lavanya Sunder, general manager of Culdesac Tempe, joined The Show to talk more about the development and how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting plans. Sunder also talked about how big of a departure this project is from a typical project in the Phoenix area.
