How Scottsdale's Mayor Plans To Enforce Social Distancing At Bars And Restaurants This Weekend

It’s Friday, and another weekend is just kicking off.

And, after the crowds seen across the state last weekend, many will be on the lookout for similar scenes of non-social distancing — and hoping to mitigate it and, therefore the further spread of the coronavirus in our community.

Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane had some choice words for party-goers who packed into Old Town Scottsdale restaurants over Memorial Day Weekend.

He released a statement shortly after, calling the scene “disturbing” and promising to personally reach out to the businesses that were shown in media coverage across the country open with large crowds.

The Show spoke with him more about those conversations and how he’s hoping to change things this weekend.
