Maricopa County Launches Online Portal For Early Voting Signup

The Maricopa County Elections Department has launched a new online portal ahead of the August primary election.

Voters registered in Maricopa County can go to the website request.maricopa.vote and sign up for the Permanent Early Voting List, which allows them to receive ballots for upcoming elections in the mail.

Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes says registered voters can also make a one-time request to vote by mail in the 2020 cycle.

“All of this is in order to alleviate the Election Day crowds, so that we can maintain social distancing," Fontes said. "Because the health and safety of our electorate is one of our primary concerns.”

Fontes says there will be many options for in-person voting as well in the weeks before Election Day.

The county is expecting 700,000 voters to cast a ballot in the Aug. 4 Primary Election.
