The former director of the Arizona Department of Child Safety recently left his position with a child-welfare organization after less than a year on the job — and with no clear explanation.

Greg McKay spent more than four years at DCS before he accepted the chief operating officer position with the nonprofit Childhelp, which aims to prevent child abuse.

Mary Jo Pitzl with the Arizona Republic covered McKay’s departure, and The Show spoke with her about his tenure at DCS.
