In Sonora, No Sign Of Coronavirus Cases Slowing Down

South of the border, neighboring Sonora, Mexico is experiencing an increasing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths.

Many of those cases have been in the border city of San Luis Rio Colorado, just south of Yuma. It’s consistently had the highest per capita rate of COVID-19 cases in the state. However, as the number of cases continues to rise across Sonora, that trend is shifting.

The Show spoke with Kendal Blust from KJZZ’s Fronteras Desk in the Sonoran capital Hermosillo for more on the evolving situation.
