Even as Major League Baseball continues to try to formulate a plan to actually play a season in 2020, the sport held its amateur draft last week.
It was quite different because of the pandemic, with management gathered around the country rather than in one place and the number of rounds limited to only five.
But there was good news for Arizona State University. The top pick, Spencer Torkelson, came from the Sun Devils, and four other ASU players were chosen in the first four rounds.
