This Saturday, the city of Tempe will reopen the Kiwanis Recreation Center, as well as the city’s pools, park ramadas and picnic areas.
While these sites are open, park playgrounds and splash play areas will remain closed until further notice.
Social distancing and face coverings are required, with a few exceptions. People swimming in the pools, exercising at the parks, using the batting cages or playing tennis do not have to wear a mask.
Elsewhere in the city, people must now wear face coverings in public places, as mandated by Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell.
