Arizona Republican Rep. Debbie Lesko was in the crowd at Saturday’s Trump rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Before the rally, she said she would wear a mask. The rally comes as coronavirus cases surged in the state, but Lesko emphasized that masks should not be required.
"Well I think the Trump administration and the campaign is doing all it can, doing temperature checks and handing out masks," Lesko said. "I myself am going to wear a mask, because that’s what I usually do. But I don’t think they should be mandatory. I think people can choose for themselves — but people should do the right thing and try to keep healthy. And I think people are responsible."
Trump will hold another rally in Phoenix on Tuesday.
