Groundbreaking for CP Technologies manufacturing facility in Prescott on June 24, 2020.

A San-Diego based company has picked Prescott for its new manufacturing facility.

CP Technologies makes rugged computer hardware for military, industrial and commercial markets. Their products are designed to withstand shock, vibrations and harsh environments.

Arizona’s weather and support for the unmanned aerial vehicle market attracted the company. According to a news release, CP Technologies is partnering with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Yavapai College and expects to create 200 jobs over the next four years.

In a statement, Prescott Mayor Greg Mengarelli said: “We are proud of our quality of life, world class educational resources and excellent transportation links here in Prescott. All of these have allowed us to attract outstanding, high wage technology jobs like those that CP Technologies is bringing.”

The 50,000-square-foot facility will be located near SR 89 and Deepwell Ranch/Crystal Lane and is expected to open early next year.
