During the Trump administration, immigration policy has been front and center. That has led to exponential and dramatic growth in the number of immigration-related cases, putting more of a spotlight on the judges who are presiding over them.
A lawsuit filed against the U.S. Department of Justice is fighting back against a policy that seeks to prevent those judges from commenting on immigration-related issues — whether they’re presenting at legal conferences or speaking to law students.
Judge Ashley Tabaddor is the president of the National Association of Immigration Judges, and The Show spoke with her about the lawsuit.
