Yuma Police Arrest Couple Accused Of Coughing On Walmart Employees

Yuma police arrested two people who entered a Walmart on Wednesday night and refused to put on masks.

According to police, the two were asked by workers to either leave the store or put on masks. The man and woman started coughing on employees, said Sgt. Lori Franklin.

“Officers arrived, they made contact with the couple, they were trying to talk to the couple," said Franklin. "They became very belligerent, very confrontational and wouldn’t even listen to us.”

Thirty-eight-year-old Frank Montoya briefly escaped police. Police say he and Victoria Parra Carranza, 23, then fought with officers. Both face multiple charges.
