The COVID-19 test site at Mesa Community College is looking for more patients.
The drive-up site is open 24 hours a day and offers tests at no cost. Patients with health insurance should bring insurance information; those without should bring identification. The site can perform up to 3,000 tests per day.
“Those people that don’t have symptoms, but may have been around them, or in a workplace where somebody’s reported positive, those are the folks that if we’re ever going to put a stop to the virus need to get tested," said Raymond Embry, of Embry Women's Health, which is operating the test site.
Embry recommends making an appointment online for the Mesa test site. As of Saturday, many appointment times are available.
More than 300 sites statewide are now offering COVID-19 tests. Locations are listed on the Department of Health Services website.
