Peoria is offering help to local businesses dealing with the coronavirus.
In March, the city created a Small Business Task Force and provided free banners to local restaurants operating during the pandemic. Now, the city is offering more printed and digital marketing materials.
Local businesses can get banners to display outside that either read “We’re Open” or “We’re Open Virtually”. Tabletop signs promoting social distancing, face masks and sanitation are also available for restaurants.
Business owners can get more information and request materials by signing up online. They can also pick up items on Thursday, July 23 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at LA Dance, 9815 W. Happy Valley Road, Ste. 1140, Peoria and Wednesday, July 29 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N. 83rd Ave.
The Peoria Chamber of Commerce website lists local member restaurants that are open along with non-dining members that are open and promoting special offers. The West Valley Chambers of Commerce Alliance is surveying membersabout how COVID-19 is impacting businesses and what help is needed short term and long-term.
