Don’t get too excited, but we may finally see some rain and monsoon storms in the Phoenix area this week.
National Weather Service meteorologist Andrew Deemer says there’s a good chance the conditions might be right for storm activity.
“At least for the first part of the week, we’re going to start to see that moisture start to seep in, which means, very low chance of some showers and thunderstorms," Deemer said. "But by the mid to end of the week, finally some signs of the monsoon are going to be trending in our favor."
Deemer says storms could come as early as Tuesday, but by Wednesday and Thursday, the conditions will be better than they have all year for wet monsoon storms.
