Trump Administration Ordered To Accept New DACA Applications

A federal court has ordered the Trump administration to accept new applications for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

The administration has reportedly been processing renewal applications but not new appeals for protection.

A notice on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website currently warns: "USCIS is not accepting requests from individuals who have never before been granted deferred action under DACA."

The Show spoke with Ruben Reyes, a Phoenix attorney with the American Immigration Lawyers Association, about what issues he's encountered from the applications being delayed.
