How The Pandemic Has Affected The Future Of Renewable Energy

The pandemic has kept many of us at home — or nearby — and that, in turn, means we’re driving less and generating less air pollution. But that may also have created a perception among some that there’s less need for an updated energy policy in the United States.

If we’re using less of the traditional fossil fuels, then how much of a priority do renewable energy sources have to be?

A team at MIT’s Sloan School of Management looked into the pandemic’s potential impact on the environment and the future of renewables.

The Show spoke with professor Christopher Knittel of MIT about how renewable progress is being affected by the pandemic.
