On July 31, some of the biggest college football conferences — including the Pac-12 — announced plans to start their seasons at the end of September. Schedules would change a bit, as teams would only play their in-conference opponents.
But continuing concerns about COVID-19 — how football can be played with social distancing, which isn’t actually possible — and a number of Pac-12 and Big Ten players calling for a reconsideration has left the college season in jeopardy.
