The storm that swept through the Valley on Monday night damaged three COVID-19 testing sites at Embry Women’s Health. The 24-hour COVID-19 testing sites were at Mesa, Chandler-Gilbert and Estrella Mountain community colleges.
There were no injuries, according to an Embry Women’s Health spokesperson. Testing was halted for 16 hours as the storm hit around 8 p.m., and normal operations resumed Tuesday at noon.
The Mesa Community College site, the clinic’s largest testing site, has the capability to administer 6,000 tests a day while the other sites can test up to 1,500 a day.
Embry Women’s Health also said those who have been tested are getting results within 48 hours on average.
