Social media has been filled over the past several months with images of makeshift home offices, pets and kids that have suddenly become co-workers and comments about the backgrounds in our Zoom calls. The coronavirus pandemic has led to a lot of us working from home.
Some, like David Tavernier, have a lot of experience with that. Tavernier and a couple of his partners at a large international accounting firm decided about 14 years ago to leave and start their own firm. But they all lived in different places, and none of them wanted to uproot their lives and move. So his new company, Complex Property Tax Specialists, is essentially run remotely. Tavernier lives and works in Gilbert, while his partners and employees live elsewhere around the country.
The Show spoke with him about his experience with working from home, and about what goes through his mind when he sees friends and neighbors start to do what he's been doing for so long.
