North Side Of Tempe Town Lake To Open After Bridge Collapse

The City of Tempe will reopen access to the north side of Tempe Town Lake Saturday.

Other parts of the lake remain closed.

The lake was closed after a train derailment and bridge collapse in late July.

The city says that Boat Beach, Lakeview Drive and the sidewalk will be open.

The south side of the lake remains closed while Union Pacific continues to remove debris and make repairs to Rio Salado Parkway.
