All Harkins Theatres In Arizona Reopening Friday

All 26 Harkins Theatres locations in Arizona are reopening on Friday.

Harkins closed its doors in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Harkins said in a press release Tuesday it has introduced several safety protocols, including reserved seating, distance between pairs of seats and sanitizing stations. All moviegoers will be required to wear masks, except when eating at their seats.

“There is no question that this has been the most difficult time in my 50 plus years in the business. I am so excited and so appreciative of our incredible team and tremendously loyal guests that have continued to support us through this challenging time,” said owner Dan Harkins.

Harkins Theatres has been in the Phoenix metro area for nearly 90 years and has locations in five states. The family-owned company grew from one theater near Mill Avenue in Tempe, to one of the largest theater chains in North America.
