Arizona Cardinals To Play Home Openers Without Fans In Stands

The Arizona Cardinals will play their first two home games of the season without fans at State Farm Stadium.

State guidelines restrict large gatherings due to the coronavirus, and with the home opener against Washington less than a month away, the Cardinals called an audible.

The Sept. 20 game will take place without fans in the stands. The following week, on Sept. 27, the Cards face Detroit, also without fans present.

The team has made upgrades on the both sides of the ball and will open the season against division rival San Francisco.

The Cardinals will evaluate other home games as the season progresses.
