Phoenix Area Intersections Get 'Smart' Traffic Lights

Intersections on Glendale Avenue, between Central and the 51 in Phoenix, have a new kind of traffic signal.

The Show spoke with Vladimir Livshits, director of Transportation Technologies and Services at the Maricopa Association of Governments — the region’s transportation planning agency — about what this technology does and what the goal of the project is.
