August 2020 Sets Record For Hottest Month Ever In Phoenix

August set a record as the hottest month ever recorded in Phoenix. The average temperature was 99.1 degrees, which beats the previous record of 98.9 degrees in July.

Before this summer, the highest monthly average was 98.3 degrees. That’s according to a tweetfrom the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

Recent drought maps show extreme conditions centered over parts of Arizona, Utah, Nevada and Colorado.
