'We've Dealt With A Pandemic Before': Why Kobalt And Other Phoenix Gay Bars Have Held Off On Reopening

More and more Valley businesses are being allowed to reopen, as the region’s COVID-19 numbers continue to move in the right direction.

This week, we’re hearing from business owners about how they’re working to welcome back customers and some of the challenges of doing that during a pandemic.

Jeff Perales is the managing partner at Kobalt Bar at Park Central in Phoenix. The bar has been open for 14 years, but has not reopened yet. Perales said he wanted to wait and see where the chips fell over the past week before deciding to reopen and make sure his bar would be in full compliance with health guidelines.

The Show spoke with Perales about what he's looking for before deciding to open back up.
