A new report from the American Hotel and Lodging Association shows the hotel industry remains in dire straits six months into the pandemic.
In metro Phoenix, August occupancy was 43% — 23 percentage points lower than last year, the report says.
Most hotels remain at 50% occupancy or below, and four out of 10 hotel employees are still not working today.
