Arizona Restaurant Association Reminds Members To Follow COVID-19 Rules

The Arizona Restaurant Association is reminding its members to follow rules and guidelines established to keep their staff and customers safe during the pandemic.

Several bars violating COVID-19 safety measures were recently shut down.

Restaurant Association President Steve Chucri says serving even a few more customers than the 50% limit is one thing, but blatant disregard for social distancing rules is intolerable.

“In some cases it’s unintentional and in other cases it might be something they didn’t follow correctly and just want to push forward. So it’s a delicate balance to strike but we’re making sure we do the best we can to keep our members educated,” Churcri said.

Churcri recommends customers who see violations first speak with the management, and if nothing is done then contact their local health department. Churcri says most establishments are following the rules.
