Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Assistant Aviation Director To Retire In October

The pandemic has pummeled air travel, with a precipitous drop in the number of people who are comfortable getting on a plane. And Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport — one of the Valley’s economic drivers — has felt the pain. Even with that current reality, the people at the top of the airport’s leadership ladder remain optimistic about Sky Harbor and the future of flying.

The pair of leaders who have been running the airport, though, are retiring from their positions as of October.

The Show spoke with one of them, Deborah Ostreicher, who started working there nearly 25 years ago and leaves as the assistant aviation director.
