It'll Still Be Hot Outside This Week, But Not As Bad As Previous Weeks

Last week gave us the first glimpse of fall. But it was fleeting — temperatures will be back in the triple digits for much of this week.

Fortunately, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist James Sawtelle, we won’t see anything above 110 this week.

“By the middle of the week we could see highs around 105 or 106 on Wednesday, and maybe even 106 or 107 on Thursday," Sawtelle said. "We’re not really looking at anything above 110 at this point. For the latter half of the week, we look like we’ll cool down just a little.”

These temperatures are still above average, but Sawtelle says temperatures will drop to about normal near the end of the week. Up north, though, temperatures will be a lot nicer.

"They're going to be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s through most of the week," Sawtelle said. "Lows in the low-to-mid 40s for the first part of the week, and the upper 40s in the later part of the week."
